ABOUT US

Radio Jornalera NJ is an independent media outlet for the working class, where community issues are exposed and we come together to provide solutions by summoning experts and professionals. We build narratives about the working class, immigrants, men and women laborers by using their voices, expressions, and culture. These stories come from experiences that give testimony to fellow laborers’ lives here in this country.

Our Vision 

Our vision is to give a voice to immigrant workers by amplifying their stories and needs. We envision being a safe space, an alternative media outlet where workers come to share experiences and knowledge based on community, solidarity, and respect.

Radio Jornalera NJ is part of "Unidad Latina en Accion NJ"

«Unidad Latina en Acción NJ» (ULA NJ) was founded more than a decade ago at a May Day rally and march. From the start, our solidarity as a grassroots organization has been our driving force to meet the needs of the community with this independent media project. At ULA NJ we work to attain immigrant justice starting with the community through education, empowerment, and organizing. Under these principles, ULA NJ works to resolve urgent issues focused on immigration, labor rights, detention and deportation, workplace justice, and popular education. Radio Jornalera NJ is our first independent media project.
